1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 teaspoon vanilla
In saucepan, blend cornstarch with brown sugar. Add cider or juice. Cook over medium heat until thick and clear. Remove from heat; add butter and vanilla. Serve over baked cake.

1 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter
3 tablesoons Crisco
1/4 cup milk
1 cup confectioners' sugar
Combine first 4 ingredients in medium saucepan and boil for three minutes. Cool and add 1 cup confectioners' sugar. Mix until smooth and right consistency . I find that a whisk works best for mixing.

No-Bake Cookies
If I can do it,YOU can do it!
1 package (12 ounces) white chocolate chips
2 tablespoons peanut butter
1-1/4 cup rice crispy cereal
1 cup spanish peanuts
1 cup miniture marshmallows
1.Line cookie sheets with wax paper. In a large saucepan, melt the white chocolate with the peanut butter over low heat, stirring constantly.
2. Let the mixture cool slightly then stir in the cereal and peanuts. Fold in the marshmallows.
3.Drop the mixture by the tablespoonfuls onto the wax paper-lined cookie sheets. Let cool until firm. Serve, or refrigerate until ready to serve.
You can add some fun and color to these by sprinkling on a little flaked coconut, colored sprinkles,or chopped candy bars before allowing to cool in their little piles..
