I'm enjoying the show. Has Mr. Ludlow passed away ? I sure hope not. Mr. Ludlow seems like a wonderful down-to-earth person. I look forward to listening to him and his friends every morning. God Bless you Ludlow Porch.
Ludlow is recuperating from an illness. He will be back.

Just wanted everyone to know that you can stream funseekers.net from China! I am here on business for two weeks. Just thought I would check and catch up at the same time! Keep up the good work everyone! This is like home away from home being able to listen to gthe sho

It's nice to know that we haven't offended the Chinese government. I wonder if they have Chester Drawers in China.

This would be a perfect shot at "dawgpiling" the LONGTIME LISTENER, but that wouldn't be the LUDLOW WAY. Lighten up and enjoy, Luddy would, Luddy does.
Denny is doing a great job. I just can't imagine how many hands and fingers he must have in order to run the show by himself.
Happy Trails

Love the show but Denny's unfunny remarks concerning Ludlow's health and whereabout's are not amusing and is getting to be irritating. Ludlow's listeners are worried about his health. Other than that, Denny is doing a good job.
Denny writes:
Ludlow will be the first to tell you that he does not want anyone to dwell on his or anyone else's health. I really can't believe that a "Longtime LUDLOW listener" could be offended by such a good-natured jab at the man who excells in spoofing reality. I have put him in every Olympics for the past 12 years. No need to stop now.

Hello to all and happy New Year. I have not been able to join the fun over the last couple of months, I am in the middle of a relocation to Oklahoma City. I have really missed my morning routine of listening in to Ludlow and Denny and each of you and your calls. I hope to get my life back and be able to join in. All take care and I hope to join in again soon, God bless!

Happy New Year to all!
Once again the Possum Drop was the spectacular, gala, Fourth of July, Cinco De Mayo, New Years, and Jeffeerson's birthday all rolled into one. In other words, something for everyone. Weather was not the best, but the strong of spirit, and weak of mind prevailed, and a good time was had by all.
The guest of honor, "Alpha Possum" was last seen ambling off in a southerly direction in Lum's cornfield to await next years gathering.
LLoyd you rascal. I am jealous. It was 8 degrees here this AM, and I heard you complaining about 45. TRADE?

No time like the present Ms Betty.
You sound as if you are a world traveler as it is. Listening to Luddy yesterday, and I believe you said you made it all the way to Thompson for the mini gathering. It would be an honor to have y'all come on up. We are only about an hour +- north of you.
Check out the web site I mentioned.
Has directions and everything you need to know about how to become amongst the upper crust of The Alpha Possum Kingdom.

Talk about Cosmopolitan, wait until I tell the 'nay-sayers' I plan to attend a Possum Drop. Bob, you are so right, it would be a great occasion for a gathering of the Whacko Clan. I'm kicking my tires and checking oil.

For those that may be interested, here is a web site for the event. If nothing else, the site is very entertaining.
www.clayscorner.com
The event is free, entertainment is free, coffee and hot chocolate is free. Fire works at midnight, with the singing of Dixie and Star Spangled Banner just prior to lowering of the possum.
Family oriented, non alcohol event.
Y'all come on over, for a great night of fellowship.

Same to you there CL. Your calls are always a pleasure to hear.
I believe it was Burnt Mountain Betty the other day ON AIR that had made a commenet regarding a mini-wacko gathering for this end of the listening audience. I agree with her. We just need a convenient location for all.
Also..for those of y'all out there that wish to get your New Year started off correctly, and wish to enhance your "southern roots", the annual POSSUM DROP NEW YEARS EVE celebration will be happening 12-31-09. Located at the cultural center of beautiful downtown Brasstown, NC in the establishment known as Clay's Corner.
More info to follow.
Now there is an ideal situation for a WACKO gathering

Yes, this is the former Sports Director of the Funseekers Radio Network. I moved to Guadalupe, Mexico to cover bullfighting a couple of years ago and have just released my first book "Bullfighting and Brain Damage", an in depth study on matadors that concludes most gorings don't kill you they just leave you looking like swiss cheese. In stores today! Go out and buy it.

Poem that Betty read on-air Thursday.

When I die if you need to weep
Cry for your brother or sister
Walking the street beside you
And when you need me put your arms around anyone
And give them what you need to give me.

I want to leave you something
Something better than words or sounds.

Look for me in the people I've known or loved
And if you cannot give me away
At least let me live in your eyes and not on your mind.

You can love me most by letting hands touch hands
By letting bodies touch bodies
And by letting go of children that need to be free.

Love doesn't die, people do
So when all that's left of me is love
Give me away.
